On January 6th, 2022, YouTuber MashuDMellow posted a new version of the meme using the Ned Leeds Just Standing There meme throughout, gaining over 13,800 views in four days (shown below). On January 5th, YouTuber MetaPhoton uploaded an edit where a second Gregory is used in place of Crying Child, gaining over 102,000 views in five days (shown below, right). MashuDMellow posted a number of variations of the meme over the following days, including one where MatPat reveals Gregory is a character from the video game OMORI, gaining over 37,000 views in six days (shown below, left). On the same day, YouTuber MashuDMellow posted a higher quality version of the meme, gaining over 934,000 views in the same span of time (shown below). On January 4th, 2022, YouTuber Cheese Person uploaded a low-res video recreating this meme, adding Undertale music to the reveal, gaining over 5,000 views in six days, although this does not appear to be the original upload. The caption reads, "ik this has been done already but i literally can’t find the post it’s from so i had to improvise…" (shown below). On January 3rd, 2022, Instagram user transgeners posted a screenshot from the clip showing the comparison from the video, replacing the Crying Child with Frisk, the protagonist of Undertale, who also has dark hair, shorts and a striped shirt, gaining over 270 likes in a week. At around the 4:29 timestamp in the video, MatPat compares Gregory's hair, striped shirt, shorts and dark eyes to the Crying Child, suggesting this means they're the same character before elaborating on the theory (shown below). The characters are popular in the FNAF community on TikTok, appearing in cosplay videos, animations and fan art showcases on the platform, often hashtaged "#sundrop" or "#moondrop" (examples shown below).On January 1st, 2022, YouTube channel The Game Theorists posted a video theorizing that Gregory, the protagonist of FNAF: Security Breach, is the Crying Child, a pixelated character featured in a series of minigames in FNAF 4. On December 24th, Tumblr user peskypixel posted a redraw of the Casually Approach Child meme using the character, gaining over 7,000 notes in six days (shown below, right). On December 23rd, Tumblr user huecycles posted a Doobie Ralsei meme redrawing Ralsei as Sun, gaining over 3,700 notes in a week (shown below, left). For example, on December 21st, Twitter users and posted pieces of fan art based on the character, gaining over 5,300 likes on the former and 12,900 likes on the latter in a week (shown below, left and right). Sun and Moon have inspired fan art and memes across social media, popular on sites including Tumblr, Deviant Art, Newgrounds and Twitter. Can a 7 year old play FNAF security breach The series It is rated 12+, so it is not quite suitable for many preteen players. He crawls up the desk saying "naughty boy" and tells the player it's past their bedtime and they must be punished, then leaps out-of-frame, starting the boss fight (shown below). However, some popular five nights at freddy’s security breach memes include jokes about the game’s lack of security, as well as references to the animatronics being nightmare-inducing. After the power goes off, Sun shouts for the player to turn the lights back on then dramatically transforms into Moon. He repeatedly tried to distract the player character, Gregory, from going behind the desk to shut off the power. Sun is erratic and nervous but poses no harm. In the game, the player encounters the character as Sun. Sun was introduced to the FNAF series in the eighth installment, Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach as one of the primary antagonists, first appearing in the game's trailer in February 2021.
